Getting old and young together this weekend

Today we're celebrating relationships across the age divide as it's Global Intergenerational Awareness Week (I promise we are not making that title up!). It's vital that old and young can come together to share experiences and bond. When young people take time out to visit the older generation, and vice versa, it reduces isolation and loneliness, improves health and mental wellbeing, and everyone learns and grows. Haven't seen the parents or grandparents in a while? Do it this weekend. Take lovely cakes, flowers and, if you think they would like it, a copy of Recognii, for all the family to watch together. The GIA campaign is led by Generations Working Together from Scotland in partnership with Linking Generations Northern Ireland, Bridging the Generations, (Wales) and The Beth Johnson Foundation (England).
